I'm supposed to captain a houseboat at Lake Powell this weekend but realized I left my plastic driver's license at home. I don't even have an ID card with me except a scanned copy of my residence card and a paper ID from the DMV. Does anyone here know if those will be ok or am I gonna get turned away at the dock? The rental hasn't replied to me for a while now and I'm starting to get impatient...

If you happen to forget your plastic driver's license, that's typically the ID you'll need to rent a houseboat at Lake Powell. Unfortunately, a paper DMV ID or a scanned copy usually won't work. If the rental isn't getting back to you, it's a good idea to either give them a call or drop by the marina in person to explain the situation—it's best to get this sorted out before you arrive.

It really depends on the rental company, though most places want the actual plastic license.
