Life on a boat

Okay, I joined the "houseboat" forum because it's intriguing, but also because wife and I have been planning to live life on a boat for a couple years now. We are a family of 4. Daughters are 3 and 5 years old. Is it possible to go on it for like a full month for the summer?

If you've ever thought about living on a boat full-time but aren't sure if it's for you, why not try renting a houseboat or a liveaboard for a few days or a week? We gave it a go, and it really changed how I view things, so much so that I started working towards making it my lifestyle.

It's kind of like RV life. You're in tight spaces, managing your own power and water, and dealing with the ups and downs of small living, especially the bathroom situation. Absolutely, you can totally do a month on a houseboat with the family and summer is the best time to try it since the weather will be nicer and heating wouldn't be an issue. If you prep well, a month on the water can be an amazing family adventure that everyone remembers.

That's good to hear! A few weeks ago, I spent some time on a houseboat with my wife and kids, and it was such a wonderful experience. We had an amazing time. Summer's the perfect time to give it a try
