Looking for the right year-round Houseboat

I'm in the market for a houseboat, something livable year-round, energy-efficient, and around 9–13 meters long by 3–5 meters wide. I'm pretty new to boats, so ease of use matters. I've looked into Campi Boat, Nordic Season, Aqua House, BoatHaus, and a few others, but I'm not so sure about build quality or value for the money. If you've got brand recommendations or know any good sites, I'd really appreciate the insight

You're on the right track with the brands you looked at and I think that Nordic Season and East Coast Houseboats have the most user friendy options. NauticExpo can be a great source for information to compare models and get all the information you need

Check out used custom builds or ex charter boats from serious boatbuilders, not all these lifestyle brands trying to sell you a Pinterest dream on water, inspect in person if you can, and bring someone who actually knows boats.

Great choice with the custom builds and ex-charters, they can really be gems if you know the right signs to look for. A few years back, a friend of mine snagged an older Dutch-built steel houseboat that had been used for small charters. It was incredibly sturdy, much better insulated and designed compared to a lot of the trendy prefab options we'd come across. It did need some updates inside, but it definitely weathered the winters much better than those lightweight Instagram specials.
